Training

The McGill Sailing Team trains out of the Royal St-Lawrence Yacht Club (RStLYC). There we have access to 12 Club 420s; all of which are less than 4 years old. 

Practice

We have practices 4 times a week, but sailors have to attend a minimum of two a week. We leave from the Roddick Gates at 2:30 pm (meet one hour later at 3:30 PM if you are meeting us directly at the yacht club). Arriving at the RStLYC, we head out on the water as soon as possible, after a quick briefing. While the warm summer days make it easy to forget, wearing a wetsuit and foul weather gear becomes standard practice as the months move on. We generally return from practice in the early evening.
